My Friends Are Busy With The Beta

by pete on March 25, 2008

I invited my friends here at iterasi to come by and say hello. I thought they’d like to get a taste of the good life. I mean, they don’t have a kitchen in their office. Maybe one of these days I will get the chance to introduce a few of them. I’ll tell them I left some Thai food in the refrigerator. That always helps attract a few engineers.

I think I know why they did not stop by. It’s beta time and they are getting ready for beta 2. We’re showing iterasi to just a few folks. People are finding all kinds of uses. Just as I thought, my daughter used it to save the new myspace profiles she made. Now she has it forever and ever.

Do you want to try iterasi? I’m curious - what pages would you save? Leave a comment, drop me an email: [email protected] or send me a tweet on Twitter: http://twitter.com/podcasthotel.

In the meantime, I’ll see if I can get some of the folks to come by and introduce themselves. I may just need to keep the camera on. You never know when they may stop by to try some of the leftovers.

I’ve been following you guys since Demo 08 and am very, very interested in what you have to offer. There’s so much potential here! Where do I begin? I could have used something like this to capture those pages celebrating the St. Louis Cardinals’ World Series victory a couple of years ago, or any news release on a special date. How many times have I bookmarked a unique product only to find the page is gone when I want to show it to someone? If ever there were an extra beta account lying around, why not sweep it over my way and we’ll see what else I can come up with! Thanks guys!

Steve - Thanks. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and uses for iterasi!

Could you please send your email address? I will then send you an invite. Thanks, Steve!

As I was looking for a bookmarking service to overcome the mess in my bookmarks I stumbled on iterasi a couple of weeks ago thanks to comments on the web about Demo 2008. And Wow ! ‘Capture’ web pages rather than just keep a link to them: what a great idea you have here. It’s amazing that nobody has already implemented it. It would(/will) be so convenient : when I want to keep track of an interesting particular web page (and not a whole site, which a bookmark only should be intended to !) I usually: 1) bookmark it, with the drawbacks we all know ! OR 2) save it on my disk and have one .htm file plus a folder for the files of the .htm file ! … And it becomes a nightmare because there are not all the possibilities attached with bookmarking services to sort this (tags, comments …)
So I looking forward to use iterasi great services. I’ve posted my email through the form, and I really hope to be in the beta2 list.
