The Road Show To Gnomedex

by pete on August 15, 2008

Come join iterasi as we travel on a converted school bus from Portland’s verdant valley to the maritime climate of Seattle for Gnomedex, arguably the best geek event you will ever find.

Check out our Facebook page for the full details.

The bus leaves Portland at 1 pm on August 21 for the journey to Seattle and the Gnomedex pre-party. We leave from Jantzen Beach in front of the Old Navy. I will give you a lift to the bus if you need it.

You will travel in style on this International Harvester, built in 1978 when the smallest computer was about the size of our bus. She’s a diesel and so we will be giving her a bit of B20, making her a biodiesel baby for our big trip. We return the evening of August 23, following the conference and dinner.

Our good friend, Nat, is the owner of this fine bus and will serve as our driver. Nat converted the bus himself. He pulled out most of the school seats, installed a cherry laminate floor and added two couches. He speaks proudly of the stereo system. We will be working on setting up wifi for those who want to pull out the laptop for a little blogging or uploading photos and videos. I expect this will be a well documented journey.

Come join us for the road trip to Gnomedex! Get in touch with me if you have any questions: 503-473-6237. Twitter: podcasthotel. You may also find me on Facebook.

Man, now I am really jealous! That sounds like a fun road trip, but I am taking the silver tube in the sky to get there…
