What about the little guys? What about the startups out there that do not have a huge budget? That’s the question Pete Grillo asked in the Marketing SOS session on Wednesday at Supernova.
Hugh MacLeod said it best: “Improve the conversation”
I like that. We’re working on it.
Kerry Chrapliwy, Hewlett Packard: Video. I believe he meant produce your own video.
I like that, too. Why? It’s a different voice. It can also be a ton of fun. I made it a goal to do more video for the iterasi blog and it has paid off.(Post Supernova video with Pete early next week.)
What else?
Meet a lot of interesting people. Like Hugh says, it’s one of the great parts of being a blogger and working in this world. In three days, Pete and I had the chance to talk with people like Steve Gillmor, Robert Scoble,Mary Hodder, Shannon Clark, Jerry Michalski, Scott Rosenberg and the very impressive Carleen Hawn. We even had the chance to listen to Owen Thomas talk about his background as a reporter, blogger and now the editor at Valleywag. And, of course, Sylvia Paul, who I must thank for the sweet wedding gift. Judy is already excited to blog about our honeymoon to Eastern Oregon.
Lastly, I will once again quote Hugh who I think sums it up.
“Keep doing the little things.”
