Creating Reports
What is a report? A report is an email that includes any articles you select, notes on those articles and a customizable executive summary. You can send a report to any email address, as well as to multiple email addresses.
PositivePress can send two kinds of reports: a manual report and a scheduled report.
Manual Reports
To create a manual report, first go to the Archive page. Then:
1: Select the articles you want to include. Simply click the check mark next to each of the articles you want to include in the report.
2: Click the ‘Send Report’ button. This button is on the toolbar directly above the results.
3: Fill in report details and click ‘Continue’. In the window that pops up you can fill in the email recipients, subject line, report author email, and executive summary. Once you have the information filled in click ‘Continue’ to see a preview of your report. If everything looks ok, click ‘OK’ and the report will be sent immediately.
Scheduled Reports
What is a scheduled report? Scheduled reports are reports that are automatically sent to you on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis. These reports allow you to stay informed about your topics.
To setup an automated report, first go to the Reports page. Then:
1. Enter a subject line for the report. This will be the email subject line in your email inbox.
2. Choose the report frequency. Would you like to receive the automated report daily, weekly, or monthly?
3. Enter recipients' email address(es). You can enter as many email addresses as you'd like. Separate them with a comma.
5: Choose the report type: HTML or PDF. If you choose HTML the report will come with images and text embedded in the email. If you choose PDF the report will come as a PDF attached to the email.
When you're all finished click ‘OK’ and your automated report will be scheduled.
