What's new in the current release (server side only -- no browser extension changes)

In this release we’ve added two new features: 1) a lightweight bookmarklet version of iterasi for archiving and viewing your account, and 2) an iterasi Community page allowing anyone to search among all users' public pages.

  • We developed the bookmarklet version of iterasi in response to requests from our users for a lightweight, no browser extension version. You add the bookmarklet to your browser’s favorites or 'Links' toolbar. The bookmarklet archives your pages using our servers instead of your computer, making it a very lightweight alternative to our browser extension. Note, the bookmarklet does not give you access to the more advanced features of iterasi including the scheduler and import bookmarks.
  • The new iterasi Community pages provide a great place to search for interesting pages that other users have archived and made publicly available. You can search by tags, user, or by any word in the page, or the page’s URL. Who knows, you could find the answer right here!

What's new in the 23 September release (IE 7: 1.3.5.2; Firefox 2: 1.2.7.2; Firefox 3: 1.3.5.2)

  • In this release we’ve added the ability to import bookmarks from Apple’s iPhone! Plus, you may now also import from Ma.gnolia, the popular social bookmarking service, as well as Safari on the Mac. Once imported, iterasi will make permanent copies of your favorite Web pages in your iterasi account. Importing bookmarks from the iPhone uses iTunes to sync the bookmarks from the iPhone and from there iterasi will import them from Safari on the Mac or IE7 on Windows. Importing bookmarks from your Ma.gnolia account requires you to enter your account and password. In either case, from the Import Bookmarks wizard, you can choose to use the Scheduler to archive your favorite Web pages on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

What's new in the 16 September 2008 release (Firefox 2: 1.2.6.4; Firefox 3: 1.3.4.4)

  • This release fixes an issue while importing Delicious bookmarks via the iterasi Firefox extension. We did not properly separate tags during the import which resulted in some of the notarized pages containing one long tag string instead of several separate tags. If you have already imported bookmarks from Delicious via the Firefox extension and experienced this problem, please contact iterasi at [email protected] for a fix to these tags.

What's new in the 5 September 2008 release (IE 7: 1.3.2.0; Firefox 2: 1.2.6.2; Firefox 3: 1.3.4.2)

  • With the new import bookmarks feature, you can now import your Bookmarks/Favorites from Firefox, Internet Explorer or del.icio.us account and iterasi will make permanent copies of all your favorite web pages. You can choose to import your Bookmarks/Favorites at any time. After selecting Import Bookmarks from the iterasi menu, you can choose to import your Bookmarks/Favorites from Firefox/Internet Explorer, from your del.icio.us account, or from a file from any application that supports the standard html bookmark format. You may import them all at once or schedule the import for later in the day, when you are away from your computer. You may also set up your bookmarks to be notarized daily, weekly or monthly. Additionally, you can import again at a later date and choose to add only Bookmarks/Favorites that have been added since the last time you imported Bookmarks/Favorites into iterasi.

What's new in the 20 August 2008 release (IE 7: 1.3.1.13; Firefox 2: 1.2.5.25; Firefox 3: 1.3.3.25)

  • Notarized pages are automatically published to your public page so that you can easily share your pages with friends, family and co-workers. If you want to keep a specific page from public view, you can do this by either

    1. Selecting the 'PRIVATE' checkbox when you first notarize the page in the Notarize dialog
    2. Selecting the 'MAKE PRIVATE' button in the My Pages screen
    3. Selecting the 'PRIVATE' checkbox when you Schedule a Notary or Import Bookmarks
  • The long awaited Scheduler is now available. This powerful tool allows you to automatically notarize web pages without having to be there to push the notarize button. You can have iterasi notarize web pages for you every day, on specific days of the week, once a week or once a month. This feature is useful for monitoring other sites like your favorite web article or blog, retail and travel offers, or a competitor's website. The Scheduler can also be used to Import your bookmarks and favorites from Internet Explorer, Firefox, or from your Del.icio.us account (described below).
  • We now offer iterasi clients for Firefox 2 & 3 on the Mac running OSX 10.5 for Intel and PowerPC based systems.
  • We changed the word 'Share' to 'Email', hopefully to reduce confusion. You can now Email pages to friends/co-workers directly from the Notarize dialog so that you no longer have to go to the 'My Pages' page to send a page to a friend or co-worker.
  • On the 'My Public Pages' viewer you can now filter a user's public pages by tag name. Then, if you choose to Subscribe using RSS or get the iterasi widget, you will see the subset of this user's pages that are identified by the tag you specify.
